Customer Review: Tinker Bell opens the doors to Pixie Hollow!
This DVD isn’t out until October, but based on the trailer and the webisodes called ‘Pixie Previews’, there is plenty to base an opinion on to help people in their decision to purchase this DVD. First, the Movie trailer and `Pixie Previews’ are available to watch on youtube and Disney.com and they give a good introduction as to what to expect from this DVD. While not Pixar quality, the CGI featured shows a quality not unlike what we’ve seen in Chicken Little. Second, an internet search helped reveal some of the DVD bonus features. Separated into two categories they are: PIXIE HOLLOW - explores the world of the Fairies: -Magical Guide to Pixie Hollow -Tinker Trainer DVD ROM -Ever Wonder Featurette THE MAINLAND - explores the making of the movie: -Creating Pixie Hollow -Deleted Scenes Third, I’m assuming that the trailer and the series of 6 `Pixie Preview’ webisodes will also be included. Each webisode is about 2 minutes long and are creatively done to help introduce people to TinkerBell and the other Pixies (Not to mention the CGI world they will inhabit). These are: Tink and the Bell Tink and the Pepper Shaker Fawn and the Log Fawn and the Butterfly Silvermist and the Fish Iridessa and the Light Bugs Rosetta and the Flower (There are apparently two versions of this one making the actual total to 7 webisodes.) This Direct-to-DVD feature is also the first of 4 releases and the DVD will no-doubt boast at lease one trailer for these next releases: Tinker Bell: North of Neverland (2009) Tinker Bell: A Midsummer Storm (summer 2010) Tinker Bell: A Winter Story (summer 2011) And last but not least, this Direct-to-DVD feature will be a first for Disney. TinkerBell will talk! Mae Whitman will give Tinker Bell her first true voice. That is definitely something to look forward to! In closing I give this 4 stars with the 5th in reserve for the actual film.

The American-based company Lodge has been fine-tuning its construction of rugged, cast-iron cookware for more than a century. Breakfast in particular somehow tastes extra hearty when cooked in a heavy cast-iron skillet. Cast iron loves a campfire, a stovetop, or an oven, and can slow-cook foods without scorching and sear meat at higher temperatures. A good all-purpose size at 10-1/4 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep, this skillet can fry up eggs, pancakes, steaks, chicken, hamburgers, and can bake desserts and casseroles as well. A helper handle aids in lifting, and the looped primary handle allows hanging. Two side spouts pour off grease or juice. Even though the pan comes pre-seasoned, applying a little vegetable oil before use helps prevent food from sticking. This is it! My favorite size and brand pan in the universe! The size is great for most dishes you will make for 2-4 people. With cast iron, the only drawback is the weight, so the smaller the better. People sometimes complain about sticking with cast iron, but keep it seasoned and this will not be a problem. I can make an omelet on mine!
Customer Review: Great Skillet With the Required Care
I own the best hard-anodized aluminum pans - Anolon Allure. But this skillet is for high temperature browning without worry. The non-stick coatings, if turned up too high will emit toxic fumes, especially to birds. Cast iron does not. Cooking a steak in a nonstick pan you need to let it soak in water for 10 minutes and then use a non-metal potscrubber brush. Cooking a steak in a nonstick pan you need to let it soak in water for 10 minutes and then use a metal potscrubber brush, then wipe it with a paper towel and place it on a burner for 30 seconds to let any water evaporate. Then very lightly coat it with oil. Also it best for the heat source to be under ALL the surface area of the bottom of the pan. Using an infrared temperature sensor I measured 500 degrees in the center and 300 where the burner was not directly underneath. Again, its important to match the burner diameter to the pans diameter. If you understand these concepts then you will be serving both tasty and healthy food. Go right ahead and use metal cooking utensils too. Lastly, for stovetop use, I love my skillet but not the cast iron lids as i don’t want to draw away heat from the cooking area. Instead I use a metal outlined glass lid which took a bit of an effort to match the oddball 10 1/4″ size.

I saw this in a William-Sonoma store, but it was heavy and hard to fit into my car, so I ordered the same stand for Amazon (free shipping!) and got it two days later. I’m pleased with the construction. It holds several pots and lids at once. I learned not to pile up skillets, bc the handles stick out, which makes for a loud hard clatter as they fall. Very useful if you collect LeCreuset or Emile Henry cookware, as you don’t have to lift heavy pots to get to the one you want to use.

Design
With a total weight of 5.1 ounces and slim measurements of 3.87 x 2.91 x 0.87 inches (WxHxD), the n?vi 350 is just right for the pocket or purse. A bright, 64,000-color display dominates the front of the device and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels means that there’s plenty of room for displaying map data and other elements of the device’s interface. An SD memory card slot is provided for expansion software, such as a points of interest database, media files and electronic guides (see below). The flip-up antenna includes an MCX-type connector for connecting the unit to an external GPS antenna. Meanwhile, a powerful built-in speaker resides on the back of device. A built-in lithium ion battery will give you for to eight hours of battery life, depending on use. In addition to an AC charger, the unit also ships with a 12-volt power adapter for vehicle charging, as well as a windshield suction cup mount.

Fortunately, Garmin has made it easy to interface with the n?vi 350’s 700 megabytes of onboard memory, thanks to “plug-and-play” USB mass storage support. Just plug the device into your computer’s USB port and you’ve got instantaneous access to all the audio books, music, photos, supplemental maps and other data on the n?vi 350’s internal and SD card memory.

Navigation
The n?vi 350 is first and foremost a personal GPS device. Wherever you go — in your car or on foot– the device offers extremely accurate position data, thanks to a high-sensitivity integrated GPS receiver by SiRF and WAAS-enabled, 12-satellite reception. Combined with detailed maps of the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico the n?vi 350 provides automatic routing, turn-by-turn voice directions, and touchscreen control– making it easy to find your way anywhere. Plus, the unique “text-to-speech” feature calls out turns by street name, and you can choose from either 2D or 3D mapping perspectives when you’re viewing your route on the display. Tools for the Journey
Navigation is just part of the journey, and the n?vi 350 is one of the first devices to recognize that. The built-in “Travel Kit” offers an MP3 player, an audio book player from Audible.com, a jpeg-format picture viewer, a world travel clock with time zones, a currency converter, a measurement converter, and a calculator.

In addition to the included travel tools, additional software add-ons are available, such as the Garmin Language Guide, with data provided by Oxford University Press. This software suite contains a multilingual word bank, phrase bank, and five bilingual dictionaries. The multilingual word bank and phrase bank supports nine languages and dialects, including American English, British English, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, European Spanish, and Latin American Spanish. Now you can look up and translate more than 17,000 words or 20,000 phrases per language — right in the palm of your hand. Through the unit’s text-to-speech interface, users can get a spoken pronunciation of each entry in the word bank, along with gender and part of speech information.

Another useful add-on software package, the Garmin Travel Guide, is loaded with information provided by Marco Polo. These guides put in-depth travel information such as reviews and recommendations for restaurants, tourist attractions, and more at your fingertips. The software allows you to navigate to an address or search points of interest– places like hotels, restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions. The n?vi 350 automatically calculates the fastest route and provides voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions along the way. The unit also audibly announces the name of upcoming streets– letting you keep your eyes on the road while navigating through busy traffic and tricky roadways. And if you stray off course, the n?vi 350 automatically calculates the quickest way to get back on track.

I heard the song Pretty Amazing Grace on the radio and the song touched me in a special way. The song is about find Grace and Mercy in God in a world full of pain suffering and misery, through the One who was pierced for our transgressions (Read Isaiah Chapter 53). It will lift you up. That song alone is worth the whole album. I grew up listening to Neil Diamond and I am proud of this song, if nothing else.

I’m very pleased with this attractive unit. It is not flimsy. It was very easy to set up. No tools required, just unfolding. I use it to store wood and fire starters for my nearby wood stove. A strange use, perhaps, but it works great. Large logs are on the bottom shelf, the mid-sized wood on the next shelf up, and kindling on the shelf above that. The small side shelves hold the fire starters, stove window cleaner, and such items. I’ll put some plants on the top shelf. It was delivered by FedEx.

I love this feature! The only reason I gave it 4 star instead of 5 is because the battery cannot last for a long time.

Customer Review: Good controller, but won’t vibrate to all
This controller is my controller of choice when I play PS3 games now. Good controller with a good feel (bit heavier than the non-dualshock), but suits me just fine. I was expecting that all my games would now have the vibrating effect, but found out that it is only for some. But, it’s still no problem. Good product and glad I bought it.

Customer Review: Substantial Pot Rack
This is a very substantial pot rack made by Rogar, ideal for a small kitchen, and the matt black finish looks good. It comes with a nice set of hooks as well. It’s designed to mount to wall studs with 32 inch spaced mounting holes at each end, and one in the center at the rear of the shelf. I took previous reviewers advice and discarded the mounting screws provided which are inadequate and purchased (5) #14 2 inch long philips head wood screws and they worked OK. I purchased it at Target for under $50 incl shipping. If you have space the double shelf version is very good value too, but you have to be able to reach the upper shelf when the lower shelf is positioned high enough to hang pots.
