They slide freely up and down the rack but won’t come off when you reach for a pan. The rack itself is easy to assemble with simple household tools, but Calphalon recommends professional installation. Maybe that’s why this kit does not include mounting hardware, although it does come complete with hanging chains. Customer Review: Looks great - great with pendant lights
We have pendant lights that hang 42 ish inches apart over our big kitchen island, which made it tough for me to find a ceiling pot rack that would work…so I put it off. This one is perfect (the lights drop down within the ends of rack), and once you find your ceiling joists with a stud funder (important!) it’s easy to install. We’re very happy. It’s actually pretty light (key since our pots are heavy.)
Customer Review: Love it
I installed it in about an hour. Bought 4 screw-in eyelets and chain link connectors to attach to the ceiling joists at 4 points. It hangs above the island in our kitchen. We can hang all our heavy Calphalon pots/pans on it. I couldn’t exactly center it over the island due to where the joists were located, but it’s OK. I’m going to chance the old lighting above the island so this isn’t as noticable. I got this from CulteryAndMore because Amazon wouldn’t match their lower price.

We’ve bought 2 of these pot racks for homes we fix up and sell. We always get great comments from prospective buyers. They fit perfect above the kitchen sink area. The color is great, the size is perfect. Fairly easy to install. Saves space for small kitchens. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Works very well.
This rack works very well. The iron is sturdy and the price is certainly right. It may not be as “pretty” a some other pot racks, but then it’s not as expensive as the other racks either. Function over form in this case. With that said, however, it’s not a bad looking rack at all, just no “frills”. It could use some better instructions though.

I am embarrassed to say that I picked this up for $15, original price of $49.99 on clearance at WalMart…went back the next day to get one for my daughter and they were marked down again to $9!!!! CRAZEEEE! I love mine!!! You can cook on the stovetop, bake in the oven…breeze to clean and beautiful to serve from. I look for recipes to use it! I absolutely love it! I would have bought the last 5 they had for Christams presents…by everyone lives far away…would be ridiculous to ship…THEY ARE VERY HEAVY! It’s my favorite piece of cookware…useful and beautiful!

Perfect for a small space. Handy man type was needed to redrill some of the holes which were on the wrong side of metal pieces to be connected. However, the final result was well worth the effort.

I bought this pot holder and had a decent time putting it together. Although the instructions are somewhat incomplete I was able to put the holder together in 15-20 minutes. Also be aware in does does come with any chain to hang it from a higher or vaulted ceiling.

We have stainless appliances with black accents and a black dining room table and the dark graphite color of the pot rack matches perfectly. It’s well made. It’s a bit on the heavy side, so make sure it’s anchored into a stud and make sure you have two people to lift into place. Very minor assembly is a breeze.

Christina opened her restaurant on beautiful Orcas Island over 25 years ago and it’s still a restaurant we recommend to visitors as a must. Before it was fashionable she began her restaurant committed to fresh local ingredients and seasonal recipes. We love her cookbook because it’s designed that way with pages dedicated to tomatoes, apples or oysters and we love her stories about growing up in the Northwest and how that shaped her vision of food. The best thing is the percentage of recipes we’d make again - always our judge of a great cookbook. We love her crab fondue, her steamed clams with thyme and lemon vodka, her picnic chicken liver terrine, roasted vegetable salad with tomato caper vinegrette, hot and sour fish soup… and there’s lots more. Makes your mouth water doesn’t it!!!!!!
