On thing only mentioned briefly in the description - this watch does NOT make a beeping noise when you hit the buttons. It makes a sort of dull click. For those of us looking to use a stopwatch in a quiet environment and an unobtrusive way (I’m a stage manager) this is FANTASTIC.

The Pro Survivor is somewhat better than the survivor because it offers extra shock resistance; more water resistance; no fail switches and an extra large display. The XL display was important for me. The watch is simple. It measures minutes, seconds and 1/100 seconds up to 40 minutes, then it only measures hours, minutes and seconds. The time and date features were not important to me. It has a five year warranty without proof of purchase.

Barbra Streisand’s self-absorbed remake of a 1958 French film stars Jeff Bridges as a college professor tired of sexual politics. He makes a deal with a dowdy colleague (Streisand) that they provide companionship for one another, with no thought of getting into bed. She agrees but soon becomes frustrated, the agreement only reinforcing her unfulfilled desire to have a complete relationship with a man. Mimi Rogers is on hand as Babs’s striking sister, and Lauren Bacall received an Oscar nomination for her role as the heroine’s selfish mother. The film is OK, but it becomes an irritating vanity piece for Streisand (who directed as well as stars). Her character constantly gazes upon her own reflection and is told at least a dozen times, one way or another, just how attractive she is. One wants to shout out, we get it already–you’re pretty! The DVD release presents the film in both widescreen and pan and scan versions, plus a Dolby soundtrack. –Tom Keogh

Customer Review: Falling in Love
I bought this movie, having watched only two other Barbra Streisand movies - “What’s Up Doc” and “Hello Dolly.” I was between jobs and needed to keep my mind occupied. I was fascinated by the actors and the plot. Actually, I watched the movie several times because I continued to see new details and new themes. Rose (Barbra Streisand) and Gregory (Jeff Martin) had a platonic marriage, yet I saw at least three framed pictures of their wedding in the house. I could see indications that Gregory was developing deep feelings for Rose before he ever proposed. There was some indication that Rose’s mother saw this, too, although she opposed the marriage arrangement. Rose’s feelings were more apparent after the wedding. There were some sad scenes: the wedding ceremony that did not end in a kiss, the wedding night when Rose tucked her husband in, after he fell asleep watching the movie. Rose just stood there watching him for awhile. Rose’s request for sex was quite humorous (nothing subtle about it.) Henry (Greg’s best friend) was a humorous voice of reason for Greg. When Gregory pulled away from Rose on the night they tried sex, and he declared, “I took every precaution to make sure there was no physical attraction,” that was one of the saddest scenes in the film. However, there was a very happy ending.

One of my favorite Barbra movies! I love to see romance alive in New York City. And it’s not bad looking at Jeff Bridges. The movie may not be totally beliveable - - BUT who cares?!

I really liked the case. It gives a unique look to my blue nano. I don’t get any scratches like the other reviews. I see where you can get scrathes from opening and closing the case with a coin. But that can be fixed by not opening the case, or just using your nails if they are sturdy enough and you can carefully open up the case.

The only bad thing about the case, is I get lots of scratches on it. And I think I’m pretty careful, but scratches all over the darn thing. But still looks great because it is mirrored. Bought the blue one at best buy too, but this one is soo much better looking. Go Chrome all the way.

Customer Review: Sleek & Streamlined, Gets A+ For Looks, F for Practicality
Pros: Great-looking design gets ***** out of 5. Sleek and spare, there’s the added visual bonus of the screen “disappearing” when the screen light is off and reappearing when it’s back on. Protects your IPod from scratches and minor bumps but I’m not sure how it’ll stand to drops and major impacts.

Cons: Highly impractical esp. if you use your iPod mostly outdoors. Strangely enough, you CANNOT see the screen when you’re in bright or direct sunlight outdoors (you can see a bit in the shade). The whole case protects the iPod (with a matte rubber half in the back and the only opening on the iPod dial) so you can just see the screen in artifical light, not natural. Even then it’s darker than normal. Also it’s a little prone to marks and tiny scratches. In a span of more than a month, it’s already gotten lots of tiny marks and possibly permanent smudges (Fantastick and Windex won’t work). Also sensitive to the natural oils you get on your hands so fingerprints are a common sight though seemingly temporary.

Average: Three (3) out of 5 stars. If you’re highly averse to those clunky protective cases, or horribly designed skins like I am, the great, unique look balances out the absurd lack of practicality of the Griffin Reflect. It won’t last long is my guess. There’s a very slight, barely noticeable, loosening of the case which I sense once in a while.

Customer Review: I love muffin tops and this pan is the tops.
I bought one a few months ago and am so pleased with it, I ordered another. Now I can make twice as many muffin tops. A few tips I have discovered. * As the instructions say, definitely decrease the oven temp by 35 deg * Keep on higher oven rack * My fav recipe calls for 14 minutes of cook time so decreasing by 10 minutes (as the instructions recommend) is not practical. I usually decrease cooking time by about 15%. * Decreasing cooking time often does not get the tops as brown as I like so I broil them for about 2 minutes after the (adjusted) cooking time. (However watch them CLOSELY until you get the hang of it.)
Customer Review: Great Muffins!
This pan makes the best muffins! After tasting muffin tops at a local bakery, I decided I had to make my own. I just used a regular muffin recipe and they turned out so well. These muffins pack so much better than regular muffins and don’t crumble as easily. Very handy to hold. The pan has that nice no stick finish that is so nice to bake with & clean up. One very happy baker here.

Customer Review: Great pan, needs yearly replacement
I love the way this pizza pan works, and recommend it as long as you’re willing to replace it every year or so. The nonstick surface works for a while, and then crud starts building up that’s impossible to remove. Eventually it gets too gross to keep using. It comes with a silly “lifetime warranty” that requires you to ship it to New Jersey at your expense plus send $7.00 for return shipping, so buying a new one from Amazon ends up being less expensive. I wish it were just solid, uncoated aluminum so I could scrub the dickens out of it when it gets encrusted with melted sauce and cheese. But I do like the big holes that expose the crust and help make it … well, crusty.

I have purchased this pan, as well as two others as gifts, because I enjoy baking with this, producing great, perfect scones each time. I use a recipe that came with the original Nordic ware pan. This pan bakes evenly, quickly and perfect scones pop out each time. I spray it with Pam or a like spray oil lightly, and the cleanup is quick. Would recommend it for scone bakers.

Yes, this pan is expensive at $19.99. It helps that there is super saver shipping, and when I bought this, it also qualified on the 4 for 3 special. My husband was impressed with the quality of the steel and workmanship in this item. I’m thinking that in light of the reviews citing difficulty in cleaning that I will try PAM on the surface and will report on that later. It is suitable for the dishwasher per the packaging.

Customer Review: Can’t live without out it!
I was on vacation in Mexico and the resort I was staying at had this wall mount mirror that I loved. I returned from my vacation and knew immediately I needed to find one fast. I went to a few stores looking for one that could work for me. I bought a mirror and was disappointed that it broke during the mounting process. As you can guess I was not happy that I had to return back to store for a refund.

This time I checked out Amazon.com’s website and I found many varieties that I liked. I ordered Jerdon first class 7x wall mount mirror as I liked the style of the swing arm and double sided mirror that magnified and a choice of nichol, chrome or gold.

I can’t believe how long I lived without this mirror in my daily life, I really love it & use it daily!! It easily moves out of my way when it’s not in use and it’s not cluttering any counter space. I highly recommend this product and the installation was so easy!

This is a good pan. It’s heavy, heats fairly evenly over a gas burner and the non-stick works well without any oil or grease. Good omlet and crepe pan, grill cheese etc. Too small for pancakes or a full skillet of meat or vegtables.

I have had this pan for a couple months now and I use it regularly. I will agree with other reviewers that the pan is thin in construction - and is not packed well for shipping (one big dent). The muffin tops that I have made with this pan have quickly become a favorite to all our friends and family. I would recommend playing with the temperature and bake time to have your muffins come out the way you personally prefer them. I have found in our oven…… any batter that I have used comes out great at 16 minutes on 400 degrees. I regularly bake blueberry, cinnamon, banana and chocolate chip and each come out differently …… all tasting wonderful. I plan to buy a second pan for myself and possibly have a few under the tree.

I love the tops of muffins. I throw away the rest and just eat that part. This pan works great once you figure out the appropriate temperature and length of time to cook your muffins. It took me a few rounds to master this. The first time my muffins came out completely black, but yet I never smelt anything burning.

Magnificent! This pan is incredibly sturdy, well made, distributes heat evenly, cleans up just beautifully, with riveted side & lid handles- comparable / equivalent to All-Clad’s version of this same pan ($200+). I repeat: This Cuisinart Chef’s Classic Stainless Everyday Pan w/ Dome Cover, at $20, is EQUAL TO OR BETTER IN Quality / Performance / Durability / Appearance / Versatility for everyday use, as compared with All Clad’s version (which is 10 times the cost of this pan!). This pan is incredibly versatile and truly does go from stove top, to oven, to table, looking just GORGEOUS! To clean anything stuck on, simply soak overnight & rub with cloth & dish soap. I had the long-handled version of this pan, gave it to my sister & bought myself a 2nd of this pan- This one is MUCH easier to handle with the 2 compact handles on either side. Much easier to fit in cupboard, hanging on pot rack, in stove, on table, and in sink to wash. For $20 how could anyone resist this heirloom quality, do it all pan? Hurry & get yours before they’re gone. Even at a higher price, this is a steal- comparable high end cookware is costing $200+ for a pan & specialty domed lid of this size. This entire Cuisinart line is just an amazing value! Actually I gave my sister about a half dozen peices of this cookware, various peices that I had purchased as part of several sets of this line, which I found I didn’t use much…If you are buying this line, I do strongly recommend that you AVOID the pre-packaged sets, and instead buy each pot/pan individually, tailored to your own personal cooking habits. Customer Review: They work for 20×56 oval rack
I purchased the Calphalon 20×56 rack from CutleryAndMore because Amazon wouldn’t match their lower price. I love the rack. These hooks fit it fine, but aren’t exactly the same as the ones that came with the rack. I hesitated to buy hooks at Amazon because of the reviews saying they don’t fit. I returned some of these hooks I got at a local BedBathBeyond because they did not fit. Looks like Amazon may have some new stock that fixed the problem. July2005 update - I bought another set of these from Amazon, and one of the hooks was too small to fit on my rack. Looks like a manufacturing problem. Took me about 5min with a metal file to make it fit. I’d still buy them because I can’t find anything else that works for this rack. If someone has come up with alternatives please post.

Customer Review: No fuss, does the job.
I bought this unit to monitor humidity in my home. I live in florida, and the humidity often fosters mold growth and other allergenic problems, which is not good for my asthma and allergies. By watching the display, I know exactly when to turn my dehumidifier up/down. Is also useful for confirming the functionality of your thermostat, which is a concern in my very old apartment building. Was easy to set up when I first bought it over 6 months ago. Haven’t had to think about it or touch it since, which has come as a relief.

You can see from the pictures it’s made just like the calphalon hard anodized cookware. It’s aluminum so it’s easy to handle and put up. It went together very easily. As with any hanging rack, you’ll have to figure out how to hang it. Very nice product, we’re very happy with it.
