The music on this album always takes me inside myself and makes me reflective about my life. The first track in particular evokes memories of past as if seen from a distance through a gauzy haze. Very emotionally cleansing.

Very similar in theme/texture to “The Pearl”. In fact they could have easily been a dual CD. Hard to believe they were recorded four years apart.

Other recommendations of minimalist ambient music include “Quiet Music” and “Structures From Silence” by Steve Roach.

Customer Review: I can’t say enough great things about this music!
I’ve just recently become a fan of Brian Eno’s ambient music, and it’s all great, but this record in particular is truly outstanding. Harold Budd’s piano playing and Eno’s production and treatments complement each other perfectly, giving rise to a truly spectacular ambient music experience. Eno’s goal for ambient music was to create music that was rewarding to listen to either at low or normal volumes, and that’s certainly the case here. I love all kinds of music, but ambient music can’t be beat as a background for working or reading (which was the intention). This music is also good for meditating or for having in the background when talking with friends. It’s relaxing, lyrical, beautiful, and uplifting. I’ve known about Eno for a long time, but I wasn’t familiar with Harold Budd before the Ambient series; I’ll have to look more deeply into his catalogue. Strongly recommended.

Excellent product. Was well packaged and easily assembled. The grill assembly on the interior of the rack allows it to hold many items. The lacquer makes the rack bright and shiny with no tarnishing. Also, the hook assembly is very large and when driven into a stud (as recommended) ensures that the rack will hold considerable weight with no risk of pulling out. I’m very pleased with this product.

I had one of this watch myself a few years ago, one day we had history at the school and we were watching a film, about WWRII. I turned off the TV, each time, the teacher turned on. She was so surprised, what’s wrong with the TV, and she was thinking probably it’s because of the weather is too warm. I guess the two reviewers who thought this plugs into the front of the PS3 can’t read the product description or notice the orientation of the PLAYSTATION 3 logo in the photo that shows the bar attached to the PS3.

This is an LED lightbar that connects to the BACK of the PS3. It has a pass through for the ports it attaches to on the back of the PS3. It also has a couple brightness levels.

The main reason I bought this is to have some kind of lighting in the bottom of my A/V rack so I could see the slot on the front of the PS3. Maybe a flashlight would have worked as well!!

i must admit that when i first heard the original sixaxis controllers for the ps3 were not going to have rumble, i wasn’t all that disappointed. but now that i have rumble back, i realized just how much i missed it. i shipped mine in from japan so i wanted to give it my review for others who are thinking about getting one when it comes to the states.

this controller is slightly heavier than the regular sixaxis, but it feels great in my hands. i feels sturdier and makes the old controllers feel like toys in comparison. and i noticed the buttons and analog sticks have a bit more resistance to them which make me feel more connected to the games.

the rumbling itself isn’t super powerful like the xbox controllers, but i never really liked the rumble in those because i throught they shook too much. it destracted my game. the ds3 rumbles just enough to immerse you more, but doesn’t make you think, “whoa this is making my hands numb” like the 360 controller.

there is one notable difference with this rumble however that i wasn’t sure was a rumor or not. THE RUMBLE REALLY IS DIRECTIONAL. i popped in Uncharted and let some guys shoot me from different angles to see. when a guy shot my right side it felt like the controller jumped to the left as if reacting to bullet. i thought this was super cool.

all in all, this controller improves on the original sixaxis and also the old dualshock 2 with the addition of directional rumble. the ds3 is a must have for anyone who desperately misses the rumble from the ps2 days and i would also recommend it for everyone else who is even remotely interested.

The Big Chill
Lawrence Kasdan’s 1983 big-budget variation on John Sayles’s The Return of the Secaucus Seven finds a cluster of old college radicals–who have since gone on to sundry professions and various degrees of materialism–reuniting over the death of a friend. Both playful and thoughtful, the film represents Kasdan (Body Heat) at his most astute. The attractive cast meshes perfectly into a group of characters for which a former closeness is out of synch with their current lives, yet their warmth is enviable and inviting. The script may be a bit too glib, with many one-liners, but it is still a perfectly designed story with telling irony and no little passion. –Tom Keogh

Customer Review: Good film after all these years
Tom Brokaw’s new book, “Boom!” mentions “The Big Chill” and somehow I’ve missed seeing it over the years. I was pleasantly surprised to see then-young actors Tom Berenger, Kevin Kline, Glenn Close and William Hurt (among others) come together for a strong ensemble performance. These thirty-somethings gather over a weekend of a sad event and manage to explore their current and past lives in a way that seems surprisingly relevant. I wouldn’t say “The Big Chill” is timeless but I could imagine a group of my own friends having some of the same conversations today.

If there’s not a whole lot of “action” in “The Big Chill” it makes up for it in insight. The soundtrack is a great addition but it is really the fine acting that carries the film and it’s great to see so many up and coming stars. “The Big Chill” is worth a look.

Customer Review: A strong ensemble cast
Everyone in the cast does a good job in this film, particularly Kevin Kline and Glenn Close as the couple who host a group of old friends for several nights after the death of another friend. I had seen it years ago, then just again today and, though one might hear some whining now and then, it’s not irritating.

The only thing I find intrusive on occasion is the soundtrack, which has great songs but tends to interrupt the narrative instead of to advance it.

Customer Review: Finally a mirror that worked
These are great mirrors. I tow a 33 ft trailer with an Expedition. I hadn’t needed mirrors with our old trailer, but knew I would for the new one. I also didn’t think they would make much of a difference, but the law is the law. I tried a different universal mirror that flew off on the freeway. I looked for the Cipa slide over mirrors, but they aren’t made for the Expedition, so I tried these. They really make a difference in being able to see around the trailer and they stayed on tight. I had trouble adjusting them correctly and ended up puting a “shim” under one of the feet. I used a piece of rubber shelf liner. That worked perfectly and I am very happy with the product.

This mirror works as advertised, clips on easily and stay in place if you tighten according to the instructions. Since it’s an add-on mirror it does have a bit of vibration but nothing you can’t life with. I also purchased the wideangle lens which are quite helpful.

Customer Review: Pantastic
First a little background. I rarely review products, I’m a very good cook and I’ve cooked professionally in several restaurants. The analon grill pan is as good as it gets for stove top grilling. That being said it, like all the others it doesn’t give you anything close to an outdoor grilled flavor. However, if used properly, it gives you several advantages of grilling: cooking above the fat, grill marks, and a slight grilled flavor. Using the pan properly is key. I preheat the pan at a strong medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes, lightly coat the items I’m grilling with olive oil–rather than the pan, or a marinade/vinagrette, and deglaze the pan afterwards. I also fill the pan with water right after grilling and have had no trouble at all cleaning it later on. I’ve grilled chicken, beef, pork, frozen shrimp and vegetables. I flattened (pounded) the chicken and pork as I think quick grilling best for this sort of appliance, but that’s only speculation. Using a grill pan may make for healthier pan cooking. There’s concern now with the carcinogenic aspects of browning and carbonization in fat; since a grill pan lifts the food above the fat it causes less carbonization than does pan frying and therefore less carcinogens. So, as long as you’re not expecting true grilled flavor, you can’t go wrong with this pan.

I’ve always been impressed with the Anolon line and have been slowly adding to my set. This one has to be the best investment I’ve made. I’ve cooked burgers, picnic ribs w/BBQ sauce and shish kabobs and everything has had that “outside grilled” taste. Best of all is the clean-up - no sweat. Everything just wipes off.

Customer Review: Good but not perfect
I just got two of these muffin pans. They are compact size and accommodate all the batter perfectly in one pan for Jiffy brand muffin mixes that are much less than most muffin mixes. You will need two pans for a typical Betty Crocker box of muffin mix. Their compact size make them easier to store and reduce weight. The pre-season is good. I oiled the pans and my muffins came out as free as they would in an aluminum pan. I gave only 4 stars instead of 5 stars because they are a little hard to handle. Being so small there is little room to get a grip on them taking them out of the hot oven. I wish they would have made the end edges protrude out a little further at the middle to serve as handles. Also, the sides are steeper and deeper (not entirely strsight sided as implied) than a typical muffin pan resulting in more soft spongy muffin bottom and less crusty top. I like the top side of a muffin over the soft bottom side. If you like the bottom sides more this is your muffin pan.

I have a number of Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned items and think that they are all wonderful. As others have stated, this pan produces muffins smaller than a normal pan. Not a big deal except when a mix is used all the batter does not fit into two pans so I had to buy another. Box mix seemed to fit perfectly into 3 pans or 18 muffins. I gave it 4 stars for this reason. Personally I would rather have regular sized muffins and 12 in the pan (regardless of weight). Muffins came out great…nice and brown on top and popped right out of pan. The kids gave it two thumbs up.

This is wonderful classical music. If the kids like it, great! But, make no mistake about it, this is good for anyone. This is wonderful study music, reading music, or just plain relaxing music. Highlights include “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers”; “March of the Toys” (from BABES IN TOYLAND — the reason I bought this CD); “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”; “The Little Train of Caipira” (no longer little when the music is over); and the audience favorite “Hoedown” (i.e. “Beef, it’s what’s for dinner!”).

If you’re into that whole thing of classical music sharpening a youngster’s intellect, then this won’t disappoint. If you’re just into good old fashioned classical music in general, it won’t disappoint you either. Also, I highly recommend to both groups the classical CD BUILD YOUR BABY’S BRAIN.

This is a wonderful album. Very high quality, and every selection is beautiful. My daughter (who usually asks me to turn my classical music off) loves to pretend to gallop like a horse during “Rodeo” and march like a soldier during “Parade of the wooden soldiers”. The non-stick feature makes the pan very easy to use and it’s a convenient size for cleaning in the dishwasher. Heat Distribution is perfect, yielding an EXCELLENT result, every time we use it. I was not able to find this size pan in my local supermarkets, so I’m grateful that it was available through Amazon.

Customer Review: Great Pan! Now if I could only make Gluten Free Popovers!
This pan is an excellent choice if you’re making popovers. I can’t say that I’ve had any success making popovers with it though since I have been trying to make them gluten free but that has nothing to do with the pan. Oh well. I’m going to keep trying and I’ll be using this pan for sure.

I have had this pan for a couple months now and I use it regularly. I will agree with other reviewers that the pan is thin in construction - and is not packed well for shipping (one big dent). The muffin tops that I have made with this pan have quickly become a favorite to all our friends and family. I would recommend playing with the temperature and bake time to have your muffins come out the way you personally prefer them. I have found in our oven…… any batter that I have used comes out great at 16 minutes on 400 degrees. I regularly bake blueberry, cinnamon, banana and chocolate chip and each come out differently …… all tasting wonderful. I plan to buy a second pan for myself and possibly have a few under the tree.

I love the tops of muffins. I throw away the rest and just eat that part. This pan works great once you figure out the appropriate temperature and length of time to cook your muffins. It took me a few rounds to master this. The first time my muffins came out completely black, but yet I never smelt anything burning.
