This is the perfect hamburger or grilled fish pan — and it also makes great panninis, so you don’t have to clutter up your kitchen with an extra single-use pan. Fits 4 burgers at a time and as long as you take care of it properly, sears nicely without anything sticking. More useful than the round shape, and easier to get the spatula in to turn things. Highly recommended.

Yes, this pan is expensive at $19.99. It helps that there is super saver shipping, and when I bought this, it also qualified on the 4 for 3 special. My husband was impressed with the quality of the steel and workmanship in this item. I’m thinking that in light of the reviews citing difficulty in cleaning that I will try PAM on the surface and will report on that later. It is suitable for the dishwasher per the packaging.

At 8 1/2″ it is quite small but it’s perfect if you’re just making eggs for yourself or something like that. Quick clean up and heats up fast as well.
Customer Review: My First Red Pan
The pan is cheaply made (in France) but I bought it for around $5. It has a red Thermo-Spot heat indicator in the middle which is very cool. The thin aluminum pan heats EVENLY and the handle feels very solid. A great little red pan for frying egg, sausage, etc.
