Globe 13-Watt Mini Compact Fluorescent Spiral Light Bulb (60-Watt Incandescent Equivalent), Soft White, 8-Pack #6880201

Globe 13-Watt Mini Compact Fluorescent Spiral Light Bulb (60-Watt Incandescent Equivalent), Soft White, 8-Pack #6880201
Customer Review: I bought these for one purpose.
I have tread lights on my stairs in my house. They are needed to light up the very dark staircases, so they are on from dusk until bedtime (or longer if the kids leave them on). Each tread light receptacle requires two (not to exceed) 25watt bulbs and to access them to change them requires unscrewing the covers off of the fixtures.

I bought these bulbs for the following reasons: a) one of them will replace both of the incandescent bulbs and b) they last longer, so the hassle of changing them will be less and c) the light output, which by the way, is pretty close to a typical soft white incandescent bulb, is good enough for the tread lights and d) I get an effective 10 more watts of light output for 37 watts less consumption (so there is more light on the stairs for safety reasons and I feel greener).

I have not used them in lamps, etc so I cannot comment on their effectiveness in those applications, but for what I bought them for, they work well.

They are roughly the same size as a typical 25watt bulb.

Customer Review: Disappointing color temp
I gave the 4-pack version of these a try as I continue my search for a CFL bulb with as pleasing a color temperature as typical 60W soft-white incandescents. Maybe I’m just more sensitive to it than most, but to my eyes the light generated by these has a harsh, slightly greenish tint to it. They also suffer from about a one second delay between when you flip the switch to when they actually turn on. Tried multiple bulbs in the pack and they were all the same. For now I’ll stick with the NVision bulbs from HD which at least turn on instantly.

Le Creuset 9-3/4-Inch by 9-3/4-Inch Square Roast/Bake Pan, Dune
Customer Review: Another versatile product from Le Creuset
Le Creuset; a mainstay of French chefs; manufactures porcelain vitreous enameled cast iron cooking vessels as well as stoneware, silicone, and other quality products. This square pan is cast from molten iron formed in sand moulds which are used only once. For this reason, one pan may look like another, but each is unique in its own way. As a highly efficient material, cast iron absorbs and distributes heat evenly. For this reason, it is recommended to use on low to medium heat. There are a few exceptions like boiling water where cooking on high heat is appropriate and okay. Otherwise, cooking with high temperatures may cause food to stick, discolor the enamel coating, or cook the food unevenly. Remove cast iron from the heat and it does not cool off quickly. This helps your food stay warm while serving. Beware; iron tends to be heavy so these cooking vessels tend to be heavier than the typical baking pan. Cast iron is an effective material for cooking so why cover it with enamel? Iron tends to rust; iron oxide (rust) doesn’t add any complimentary flavors to your food. If your cast iron cooking vessel was not enameled, you would have to season and maintain it. Adding the porcelain enamel not only looks good, but has multiple benefits. The enamel, being a solid coating, is one of the most hygienic surfaces to cook on, does not stain, absorb odors, retain flavors, and is easy to clean. The enamel can be damaged, so limit cooking tools to plastic or wood. Currently this pan is offered in four different colors; Flame, Cherry, Dune, and Cobalt. The benefits of cooking with Le Creuset cast iron are many, but lets get down to the roasting pan specifically. This pan holds 3 quarts of food, measures 9 3/4 x 9 3/4 x 2 inches internally, and weighs 7 pounds. 3 quarts will typically feed 4-6 people when it comes to casseroles, so consider your recipes when determining the size you need. If you need a larger pan, the rectangular roasters may be the better option. Except for roasts, the roasting pan tends to do best if at least 3/4 full. Any less and you may overwhelm your food with heat evenly dispersed in the pot. I find that the cast iron adds a crispy texture to food that may be desirable with a dish like mac-n-cheese, while not so desirable for other dishes. Some other possibilities for this pan include casseroles, deep dish pizza, pork chops covered with cornbread dressing, dinner rolls, baked squash, lasagna, scalloped potatoes, cobblers, pineapple upside down cake, or bread pudding. The possibilities almost seem endless to your imagination. One feature that people tend to complain about is the cost. The cost does seem steep compared to other pans made from other materials. Heck, cast iron doesn’t seem like it should be expensive when comparing to that old cast iron pan past generations have used for cornbread and camping. However the manufacturing process requires making a mould for each and every pan produced. They then go through the enameling process before shipping these heavy pans. If you take what goes into making and distributing these high quality cast iron products, the cost tends to make sense. Then consider that this pan will easily last a lifetime when taken care of. PROS: Extremely versatile Efficient absorption and distribution of heat Hygienic enamel cooking surface Does not stain, absorb odors, or retain flavors Easy to clean when not abused or misused Can be transferred from stove top to the oven to the table Can easily last a lifetime CONS: Its heavy, as cast iron tends to be weighing in at about 7 pounds.

Customer Review: NICE PAN
This is a very nice pan with rolled edge. It is substantial and deep. It’s a little heavy but that’s part of the quality of the product. I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality true deep dish pie pan
Customer Review: I am so glad I bought them!
They are heavy weight, they heat evenly, and are easy to clean? What else do I need? They are definitely a good buy.

NordicWare Castle Bundt Pan
9.75″ x 9.75″ x 4.4″, 10 Cup Capacity, Castle Bundt Pan, Bake A Classic Bundt Cake In The Shape Of A Castle.
Customer Review: Castle Bundt Cakepan
I purchased this item so that I could make a castle cake for my grand daughters fifth birthday. She is a self proclaimed princess! And loves Disney! I am very pleased with the quality of the product and was very surprised at the strength of the material the pan is made of. I would highly suggest this product to any baker!
Customer Review: my daugher loves the castle!
I sprayed the pan well, and the cake came out easily. Since you can’t put frosting on the cake, we put it underneath, using white icing dyed blue for water like a moat. First icing on the cake plate, then the cake, then I started clumpping the icing around it with the idea I would smooth it out. But, it looked like waves crashing around the castle, so I left it like it was! I used the spray on blue decorating stuff to put more blue on, and used blue sugar crystals to give it some dimension, and I am not terrible artistic but it looked fantastic! I will use this pan many, many times and my local bakery even wants to take a look at it for some ideas. So worth the 20 bucks!
